Dr Shelby Perram
Shelby is thrilled to join the Skye Osteopathy team and looks forward to helping the Bunbury region in February. She has completed a double bachelor degree in Bachelor of Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy) at RMIT University in Melbourne and has further training in level 2 dry needling and cranial osteopathy.
Her interest in osteopathy was sparked when her father had success with treatment for a lower back complaint after a long career of shearing. Shelby enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions in children aged 6 and above through to adults and the elderly, including upper back and neck pain, lower back complaints, shoulder, and hip issues. Shelby is also interested in treating women's health complaints including pre- and post-natal women to help support women in their motherhood journey.
She is passionate about getting to the root cause of her patients' pain and looking beyond the body to outside lifestyle factors that may also be contributing. Shelby utilises a mixture of osteopathic techniques ranging from gentle joint release, soft tissue massage, dry needling, joint manipulations, and muscle energy technique to restore normal joint biomechanics.
Shelby accepts Medicare Chronic Disease Management plans and DVA referrals.
She has just returned from a working holiday opportunity in Canada and is now excited to explore the South West region with her partner—be sure to tell her your top spots when you see her in the clinic.
